Gary Neville thinks Casemiro was ‘very lucky’ to avoid red card vs. Luton

Manchester United extended their winning streak to five matches earlier after beating Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

Manchester United took the lead just after 40 seconds as Luton defender Bell makes a complete mess of his header which puts Ramus Hojlund through to make it 1-0 United.

Hojlund then grabbed his second to make it 2-0 United thanks to a Garnacho assist.

Luton Town pushed and managed to grab a goal back but that was all they could do.

The Red Devils remain in 6th place with Luton hanging just outside the relegation zone in 17th.

One of the main talking points from the match was ‘hot-headed’ Manchester United midfielder Casemiro as he narrowly avoided a second yellow card somehow.

The Brazilian picked up a red card in the Champions League earlier this season along with 4 bookings but according to Gary Neville, the midfielder was ‘very lucky’ not to have picked up a second booking.

The Luton players appealed for a second booking after lunging into Ross Barkley.

Erik ten Hag made the decision to take the 31-year-old off at the break.

What are your thoughts? Should Casemiro have seen red?
