When a 15-year-old Raheem Sterling took on skill challenge on Soccer AM

Chelsea and England forward Raheem Sterling has made quite a career for himself, winning several Premier League titles with Manchester City, numerous League Cups and an FA Cup.

But before all of that was the humble beginnings as a boy from Brent who dreamed of playing under the Wembley arches that he lived across the road from.

Sterling started his youth career at Championship side Queen’s Park Rangers, also known as QPR.

With the devasting news that Soccer AM will be axed from Sky Sports after 30 years, we thought we would show you this throwback.

A 15-year-old Raheem Sterling participated in a skills challenge with fellow teammate at the time, Christian Nanetti, who unlike Sterling never got an opportunity to showcase his talent in the Premier League.

Even though Christian Nanetti won, it goes to show that to make the grade at the highest level, sometimes luck doesn’t go your way!
