Pep Guardiola issues brutal Jack Grealish warning if he wants to play

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is not one for pulling his cards away.

He is a perfectionist, therefore it means he always needs his players to be at maximum performance levels.

As for Jack Grealish, his performances as of late have not been up to standards of Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola has emphasized that Jack Grealish’s return to the starting lineup is contingent on improved performances on the pitch.

Despite being a key figure in City’s treble winning campaign last season, Grealish has seen a reduced role this season, prompting Pep to underline the significance of consistent and impactful displays.

Last season, Jack Grealish played a pivotal role in Manchester City’s historic Treble-winning campaign, featuring prominently in 41 games, including crucial appearances in the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

However, this season has witnessed a shift in Grealish’s involvement, with only 19 starts, including seven in the Premier League.

“I cannot give players three or four games to get their rhythm,

They have to find the rhythm to play for 20 minutes or 90.

“At a high level, the team don’t wait to be fit. You cannot give someone three or four games to be fit. What about the 10 who don’t play? They deserve not to play?

“You have to see the training sessions and all the small details. The players don’t have to convince me. They have to convince themselves that they deserve to play.”
