Didier Drogba launches SCATHING attack on Chelsea owner Todd Boehly

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has launched a scathing attack on the current ownership of the club, claiming that it has become unrecognizable in the past year.

Speaking on the Canal Plus program Champions Club, Drogba did not hold back on his criticism of Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and his stewardship of the club.

Drogba, who scored 164 goals for Chelsea and played a pivotal role in their Champions League triumph in 2012, has expressed his concerns about the direction in which the club is heading.

His comments come at a time when the Blues are struggling for form, having lost their last three Premier League games, and have also been knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

The former Ivory Coast international expressed his disappointment that the club has changed so much under Boehly’s ownership.

He stated, “I don’t recognize my club. It’s no longer the same club. There is a new owner and a new vision.”

Drogba’s criticism of the Chelsea owner is not surprising, given the club’s recent performances. However, his comments have raised questions about the direction in which the club is heading.

Drogba also compared the current situation to the Roman Abramovich era when the club brought in a lot of players, but the decisions were “very intelligent”.

Since taking over from Abramovich last year, Boehly has promised to bring stability to the club and to build for the future. However, the team’s recent struggles suggest that there is still a long way to go.

The Blues have gone through three managers this season, with Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel, and Graham Potter all taking charge of the team at various points.

Lampard, who is now the club’s interim boss, has struggled to get the team playing consistently, and their recent defeats have left them in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

While Drogba’s criticism of the club’s current ownership is valid, it remains to be seen whether it will have any impact.
