Newcastle United chief’s have blocked Dan Ashworth’s access to the club computer and scouting reports amid his request to join Manchester United.
The Magpies have been left furious with the club sporting director, 52, after he requested to leave for Manchester United.
According to reports, Ashworth has been offered a substantial amount to take up the same role at Old Trafford.
Newcastle United have placed Ashworth on gardening leave which means “an employee’s suspension from work on full pay for the duration of a notice period, typically to prevent them from having any further influence on the organization or from accessing confidential information.”

His contract expires in 2026 and on Sunday according to reports, Ashworth informed his superiors his intentions to leave for Man Utd.

Newcastle have demanded £20m compensation fee if the transfer happens.
