Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets turns down HUGE offer from Al Nassr

Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets has turned down a huge contract offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr to join them when his contract at Camp Nou expires on 30th June this year according to reports in Catalonia.

Cataluyna Radio have reported that Al Nassr offered the Barcelona midfielder €20 million per season which is a significant amount less than what Cristiano Ronaldo is earning there.

But the 34-year-old chose to decline the offer with Barca boss Xavi wanting to renew his services for another season at least.

MLS club Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, are also said to be interested in taking the player across the Atlantic but no official approach has been made yet.

Busquets has been a focal part of Barcelona’s success in their La Liga campaign so far, starting in 13 of their 16 games played this season, helping them take top spot in the league.
