The 3 nations who haven’t lost a game at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup!

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is well underway, with the final group stage games being played completed by tomorrow evening. 3 teams have won all of their games so far, but who are they?

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup of Australia / New Zealand kicked off on the 20th of July, with each host nation a part of the opening 2 games.

Both the Ozzies and the Kiwis secured 3 points from 1-0 victories, over the Republic of Ireland and Norway respectively.

Australia’s women have managed to secure themselves the top of their group (Group B), whilst New Zealand have struggled and sadly taken their exit at the group stages, finishing 3rd place with just the one victory over Norway to their name.

Group H, which includes Columbia, Germany, Morocco, and South Korea, is the only group left with a game to play.

So far in the group stages, 3 teams have shone, having won all 3 of their group stage matches – here they are…

The Three Lionesses have taken over Group D, and go through to the knockout stages of this year’s competition with 9 points and a +7 goal difference.

Their first win came against Haiti on the 22nd of July, a 1-0 victory. This was followed by yet another 1-0 win over the ladies of Denmark, and finalised with a 6-1 thumping of China yesterday.

England’s women go through ahead of Denmark, who managed to secure victories against both China and Haiti, despite their loss against the Three Lionesses.

England’s ladies will now take on Group B runners-up Nigeria in their Round of 16 knockout match on the 7th of August at 8.30AM.

Japan

Japan’s opening 3 matches at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup see them going through to the knockouts with an even more impressive set of stats than even our previous entry.

Japan’s 9 points and a whopping +11 goal difference began with a 5-0 bashing of Zambia in their opening game. They followed this with a 2-0 victory over Costa Rica and a huge 4-0 win over Spain.

This also makes Japan 1 of only 3 teams so far to have not conceded a goal, alongside Jamaica and Switzerland, who finished 2nd and 1st in their respective groups.

Japan will take on Group A runners-up Norway in their Round of 16 knockout on the 5th of August, with a 9AM kickoff.

Sweden

The Swedes are so far the last team to have secured victories in all 3 of their group stage matches. They go through to the Round of 16 with 9 points and an impressive +8 goal difference.

Their first victory came on the 23rd of July, in a tight 3-2 besting of South Africa, followed by a 5-0 thumping of Italy and a 2-0 victory over Argentina to secure their top spot.

The women of Sweden now await their Round of 16 knockout match against the reigning world champions USA on the 6th of August at 10AM.

The USA ladies managed to secure just a single victory from their group stage matches, alongside 2 draws, sending them through with just a single point more than 3rd place Portugal.

Final group stage matches

The only other team on track to match the 3 nations above in winning all 3 of their group stage matches is Columbia.

The South American side secured a 2-0 victory over South Korea on the 25th of July, and a 2-1 besting of Germany on the 30th, placing them at the top of Group H and 3 points ahead of 2nd place Germany with a +3 goal difference.
