Frank Lampard is all but confirmed as the new Chelsea caretaker manager until the end of the season which has come as a surprise to many.
Chelsea have already sacked two managers this season, Thomas Tuchel and most recently Graham Potter and now they turn their attention to 2 strong candidates.
Ex-Spain boss Luis Enrique flew to London to hold talks with Chelsea earlier today and recently fired ex-Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann is the other candidate.
Despite the recent sacking, the attention now turns to Chelsea’s next manager and a familiar face looks all set to return in Frank Lampard who we all know the Chelsea fans adore.
It will be his second spell at the club after becoming a victim of the Chelsea sacking game back in January 2021.
He has been out of a job since January when he was fired by Everton after less than a year in charge.
Nevertheless, he now gets a second chance to make things right and talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy believes hiring Lampard once again is a SMART move from the club.
