Frank Lampard to take over at Chelsea as interim manager

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is set to take charge of the club once again as an interim manager until the end of the season whilst the club look for a permanent manager.

The two main candidates are Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique who has been in London today to discuss a potential deal.

The former Chelsea manager was in charge of the club from 2019-2021 where he ended up facing the sack after a poor run of results.

The 44-year-old has most recently managed Everton where he guided them to safety in his first season in charge but he was soon to face the sack at the start of this season.

Romano stated: “Discussions with Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique continue for future project. Lampard, 100% prepared to accept the job. Final green light, up to the board.”

Many Chelsea fans will be happy to see their club legend return to the Bridge.
