Sevilla INTERESTED in signing Man City full-back Sergio Gomez on LOAN

The out-of-favour Manchester City full-back could leave the club this summer despite only singing last summer as Sevilla declare their interest in the Spaniard.

According to the Spanish news outlet, Fichajes, Sevilla want to bring Sergio Gomez to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez on LOAN.

The 22-year-old has barely played for Man City this season, his only real opportunities coming in the League Cup and FA Cup including a Champions League appearance where he was subsequently given a straight red.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has been left frustrated due to his lack of football, when signed for 13m euros from Anderlecht, a lot was promised about the young left back but so far it has been a dismal start.

Would a loan move help Sergio Gomez?

He needs to play more football that is for sure, Pep clearly saw something in his abilities that’s why he brought him to the Etihad but so far his time on the pitch has been very limited.

12 months away in La Liga could be just what Sergio Gomez needs, he will gain match experience whilst also developing his skills ready to come back to the Etihad.

But, he does need to work on his defensive abilities because he is often caught drifting forward making him vulnerable in defence.

With Pep being short of defenders, would he let another one go out on loan? Especially after losing Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich.

Would Sergio Gomez benefit from a move away for a season? Let us know!
