Liverpool ‘lining up’ second bid of £50m for former Man City star

Southampton have turned down a substantial £40 million bid from Liverpool for their talented midfielder, Romeo Lavia.

The 19-year-old has caught the attention of top clubs with his impressive performances, and it seems that both Liverpool and Chelsea are keen on securing his services.

Despite the lucrative offer, Southampton is holding firm in their valuation of Lavia, as they are reportedly seeking a fee of £50 million for the young Belgian international.

With four years remaining on his contract with the Saints, the club is in a strong negotiating position and determined to receive what they believe to be a fair price for their prized asset.

Having signed for Southampton from Manchester City just last summer, Lavia made an immediate impact and showcased his potential as a midfielder with immense promise.

His exceptional displays on the field did not go unnoticed, even amidst the club’s unfortunate relegation from the Premier League at the conclusion of the previous season.

As the player’s career continues to flourish, Lavia seems poised to make a move to a top-flight club that can offer him a chance to compete at the highest level of football.

While Liverpool’s initial bid has been rejected, rumours suggest that they are not prepared to give up on the pursuit of Lavia.

Reports indicate that they are preparing a second bid, hoping to meet Southampton’s valuation and secure the young midfielder’s services for their squad.

Moreover, Chelsea’s interest adds another layer of complexity to the situation. The Blues are closely monitoring the developments and could potentially make a move for Lavia if negotiations with Liverpool reach an impasse.
