Juventus willing to listen to offers for midfield FLOP Paul Pogba

Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus are prepared to entertain offers for some of their midfielders, including flop Paul Pogba.

The club is reportedly looking to raise funds in order to secure the services of either Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio or Cesare Casadei from Chelsea.

While Adrien Rabiot recently signed a one-year contract extension, Juventus manager Giovanni Manna is keen on strengthening the midfield further under the guidance of Max Allegri.

Pogba’s Uncertain Future: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is willing to consider offers for Paul Pogba, who endured a challenging 2022-23 season due to injuries, featuring in just 172 minutes of play across all competitions.

As Juventus’ highest earner, Pogba decided to forgo his summer vacation to focus on recovery and is expected to return to Turin shortly before the start of pre-season in July.

While the player himself reportedly has no desire to leave Juventus, concerns over his fitness and the club’s need for additional funds might necessitate his sale.

Milinkovic-Savic Emerges as a Priority Target: Should Pogba depart, Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is rumoured to be Juventus’ top target.

The Old Lady sees the Serbian midfielder as a potential key addition to their squad.

Tuttosport and Il Corriere dello Sport both report that the sales of players such as Arthur or Denis Zakaria, who are attracting interest from Lens and West Ham respectively, could aid Juventus in raising funds to secure the services of Milinkovic-Savic.

The Bianconeri are said to be willing to offer a four or five-year contract to the 28-year-old, whose current deal with Lazio expires in June 2024.

However, negotiations with Lazio President Claudio Lotito are expected to revolve around his asking price of €40 million.

Casadei Presents an Alternative: In addition to Milinkovic-Savic, Juventus is also considering Cesare Casadei from Chelsea as an alternative option.
