Arsenal honoured with inaugural UEFA FootbALL award!

Premier League runners-up Arsenal have been awarded with the first of UEFA’s FootbALL awards, following the success of their ‘No More Red’ campaign!

The UEFA FootbALL award, which was created after this year’s UEFA Champions League Final, aims to use football as a driving force for social change across European communities.

Arsenal’s ‘No More Red’ campaign, in partnership with Adidas, as well as the club’s efforts to fully integrate sign language into football has secured them a place as recipients of the first award.

The ‘No More Red’ campaign aims to keep our communities’ youth safe from the dangers of knife crime and violence so often seen in today’s world.

The campaign was started in January last year between Adidas and Arsenal FC – with many of the Gunners‘ youth fans growing up in areas of London affected by knife crime and street violence.

Arsenal will be joined by DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, the Royal Belgian Football Association, and Lilian Thuram, as those selected by UEFA’s Human Rights Steering Group to receive the first of the FootbALL awards.

The club said in a statement on their official site “Both our No More Red campaign, in partnership with adidas, and our efforts to fully integrate British Sign Language into football at Arsenal will be recognised during a presentation at the 2023 UEFA RESPECT Forum taking place in Frankfurt, Germany from June 28-29.”

“Congratulations, once again, to all involved and thank you to everyone who has supported these initiatives along the way.”
