Al Nassr BANNED from buying players until Leicester debt paid!

Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have been banned from purchasing any more players until they have paid off their debt to newly relegated Leicester City.

FIFA has given this verdict, with a whopping £390,000 bill outstanding from the purchase of Nigerian winger Ahmed Musa from the Foxes from back in 2018!

Al Nassr made waves in the footballing community after they successfully brought Cristiano Ronaldo to the Saudi Pro League last year.

Ronaldo isn’t the only famous name to don the yellow and blue of Al Nassr, however, with the club also boasting talent such as Luis Gustavo, David Ospina, and Marcelo Brozović.

The club have also been linked to a mega-money move for Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech, who shone for Morocco in their debut World Cup last year.

“The relevant bans will be lifted immediately upon the settlement of the debts being confirmed by the creditors concerned,”

This may come as a wakeup call for Saudi teams intent on going on spending sprees this summer, with FIFA’s sanctioning of Al Nassr hopefully serving as a stark reminder for teams to follow their codes when it comes to transfers!
