Man Utd coaches believe they have the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’ at the club

The coaches at Manchester United think the may have found the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’ at the club.

The player in question is Argentinian boy wonder Alejandro Garnacho.

The 19 year-old prodigy signed for Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2020 making his first-team debut in 2022 against Chelsea.

Last season he five goals and provided five assists in 34 appearances for United.

This season, he scored potentially the greatest goal in the history of the club, netting in an unbelievable bicycle kick against Everton.

He signed a new contract at Man Utd keeping him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028.

And in the most recent episode of the Footballer’s Football Podcast featuring West Ham star Michail Antonio and Fulham captain Tom Cairney, host Rickie Haywood-Williams stirred up some intriguing discussions.

According to Haywood-Williams, insiders at Manchester United are expressing a belief in Garnacho’s immense potential, going so far as to suggest he could be the next Ronaldo.

When Cairney inquired about the highest ceiling among Garnacho, Hojlund, and Kobbie Mainoo, Haywood-Williams asserted, “People are suggesting that they believe Garnacho is the one.”

Cairney pressed further, asking if Garnacho could be the next Cristiano Ronaldo, to which Haywood-Williams replied, “That’s exactly what’s being said. It’s not something we can predict, but the whispers emanating from Old Trafford seem to indicate that he has the potential to reach that elite level.”
