NEW 5-year deal for Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho is reported to be close to finalising a new 5-year contract to stay at Old Trafford until 2028.

The Spanish/Argentine forward joined the Red Devils in 2020, coming from Atletico Madrid. In his 27 appearances so far this season he has netted 3 goals and become a regular feature of Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Garnacho’s new deal is reported to base the financial compensation of his wage packet adjusted according to the status the 18 year old has within Erik ten Hag’s side. The more he continues to progress up the ranks, the more his wages will rise.

It has been reported that United and Garnacho have agreed upon the financial aspects of the deal, as well as its length, which is said to be a 5-year deal extending up until 2028. The word is that both parties are eager to wrap everything up and that an official announcement could be on its way in the coming weeks.

United began negotiations several months ago and will be looking to secure the young forward’s future with the club as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the club is still up for sale, with bids from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani having been accepted.
