Anthony Martial to miss FA Cup Final against Manchester City

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has been dealt a significant blow as he will miss the highly anticipated FA Cup final against local rivals Manchester City due to a hamstring injury.

The French international sustained the injury during United’s recent 2-1 victory over Fulham at Old Trafford.

Following medical tests, it was confirmed by the club on Tuesday that the 27-year-old forward had suffered a muscle tear.

This news comes as a disappointment to Martial, who would have undoubtedly been eager to participate in such a crucial fixture.

A victory for Manchester United in the FA Cup final would mark a domestic double for the club, having already secured the League Cup in February.

Furthermore, it would thwart Manchester City’s aspirations of replicating the historic Treble achieved by Sir Alex Ferguson’s United side in 1999.

The stakes are incredibly high for both teams, especially considering that City are also set to compete in the Champions League final next month.
