BREAKING: Al Hilal agree deal with PSG for Neymar!

Brazilian forward Neymar has been a talking point during this Summer transfer window, with new reports emerging that Saudi club Al Hilal have agreed a deal with PSG for his signature!

Neymar joined French giants PSG in 2017, for a record signing fee of €222 million.

He has had a fantastic time with the Parisian club, appearing 112 times and scoring 82 goals, surpassing his 68 for Barcelona over his 123 appearances for them.

Despite this, his future with the club has seemed uncertain of late, with manager Luis Enrique making it clear recently that the Brazilian forward is not a part of his 2023/2024 plans.

It has also been reported that the club on a whole are looking to move away from their ‘Galacticos’ era of signing huge names that come with large fees and wage packets.

Neymar himself was reported to have been earning €25 million annually whilst with the club, with names such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe also on their payroll.

It has not yet been revealed just how much Al Hilal are offering to pay PSG for Neymar’s signature, nor how much the player himself will be remunerated, although given the freedom with which many Saudi Pro League teams are allowed to spend, we can guess that both will be tall figures.

Just last month, Al Hilal made a world-record bid for Neymar’s co-star at PSG, Kylian Mbappe. The club offered a staggering £259 million for the Frenchman’s service.

Despite this, Mbappe has been reported as being happily back in training amongst the first team, following a ‘positive conversation’ with the club after a contract standoff.
