PGMOL acknowledge ‘significant human error’ during Spurs v Liverpool match

Tottenham Hotpsur beat 9-men Liverpool 2-1 earlier today but the game was met with huge controversy following a disallowed Liverpool goal.

Liverpool forward Luis Diaz scored for Liverpool but after a very brief check by VAR, the goal was ruled ‘offside’.

To the disbelief of the fans and pundits alike, the PGMOL later came out to admit that the decision was a ‘significant human error’.

Pundits such as Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp had their take on the situation during the post match discussion on Sky Sports.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp responded to the PGMOL statement by saying: “Who does that help? We had that situation in the Man Utd game.

Did Wolves get points for it? We didn’t get points for it.

We all thought that when VAR came in that would make things easier”.
