The possibility of Leroy Sane returning to Manchester City this summer could become a reality, according to a report from Germany.
Sane left City in 2020 after suffering a serious ACL injury that kept him out for almost the entire 2019/20 season. However, with City reportedly considering a major squad overhaul this summer, the idea of bringing Sane back may be under consideration.
German newspaper BILD reports that Sane’s poor performances have put his future at Bayern Munich in doubt. The club reportedly expects players’ performances to match their salaries, and if Sane continues to underperform, an exit may be on the cards.

Bayern Munich will consider offers for the 27-year-old if they are big enough, and a return to Manchester City could be a possibility.
While City fans would undoubtedly welcome the return of their beloved German winger, it remains to be seen whether Pep Guardiola would be interested in bringing him back. Guardiola has always been focused on building for the future, and it’s unclear whether he would want to bring back a player who left the club not too long ago.

However, given Sane’s talent and the fact that he was adored by City fans, it’s not hard to see why the club might consider bringing him back.
In any case, it’s clear that Sane’s future at Bayern Munich is uncertain, and if he does leave the club this summer, a return to Manchester City could be on the cards. Whether or not it actually happens remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an intriguing possibility for City fans to consider.
