Bruno Guimaraes ‘flattered’ by Real Madrid interest but feels ‘at home’ at St James’ Park

Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has been making headlines recently as reports have emerged that Real Madrid are interested in signing the Brazilian.

According to Spanish news outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are closely monitoring the Brazilian’s situation at the club.

The 25-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Lyon for a fee of £42m in January 2022, has made a strong impression in the Premier League since his arrival.

In a recent statement to ‘The Chronicle’, Guimaraes expressed his love for Newcastle and his commitment to the club.

“Here I feel like at home! Real Madrid is the best in the world. It’s great. It was just a conversation, it was nothing more. I never doubted the project, I believed from the beginning. I always wanted to play in the Premier and enjoy it. The stands love me and I love them. I’m not joking, I feel at home here. I need to keep moving forward,” said the Brazilian star.

Despite his strong feelings for Newcastle, it’s understandable that Real Madrid’s interest in him would turn heads. Real Madrid are one of the biggest football clubs in the world, and to be wanted by them is a great compliment to Guimaraes’ abilities as a footballer.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be willing to part ways with their star midfielder.

However, he would also be leaving behind a club where he has made a real impact and built a strong bond with the fans.

Regardless of whether or not he stays at Newcastle or moves to Real Madrid, one thing is clear: Bruno Guimaraes is a talented footballer with a bright future ahead of him.
