Gary Neville thinks Harry Kane is Man United’s solution to their search for a permanent striker

Many Manchester United fans may be wondering if a Harry Kane can potentially be the man to lead Manchester United back to Premier League glory. Gary Neville, former defender and coach for the club, certainly believes so.

Neville believes that Kane’s impressive scoring and assist record, combined with his professionalism, is what sets him apart from other players being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

He believes this, combined with the support of the dressing room and fans, makes Kane an ideal fit for the club. The cost of bringing Kane in may seem high, but Neville maintains that it is worth it in the long run, as he is sure to have an immediate impact for the team.

“I’ve worked with him and I’ve said this before, he will score 30 goals and get 10 or 15 assists and that’s an absolute fact. He’s a professional, the dressing room will love him, he’ll fit in straight away and he’s a guarantee for Manchester United,” said Neville.

He added, “If he’s going to cost £150m and he’s 30 it’s short lived but Casemiro, we all said it by the way, a £60million [transfer fee] and £20m a year for five years is a £170m investment.”

Kane’s ability to link up the midfield and attack is something no price can put a number on, according to Neville. So, while the transfer fee may be high, in the end, the former United defender believes Harry Kane is the type of player who can take them back to the top of the Premier League and the ideal solution to their search for a permanent number 9.
