Cristiano Ronaldo Storms Off at Half-Time After Al-Nassr Nightmare
🚨 Cristiano Ronaldo was left visibly FURIOUS as he was taken off at half-time during Al-Nassr’s dramatic comeback against Al-Ettifaq.
The Portuguese superstar was clearly frustrated after a chaotic opening 45 minutes saw Al-Nassr fall 2-0 behind. The situation became even more difficult after goalkeeper Bento was shown a straight red card in the 12th minute. 🔴
Ronaldo was then sacrificed at the break, with Ange Postecoglou bringing Abdullah Al-Khaibari on as Al-Nassr looked to change the game.
The decision appeared to leave Ronaldo unhappy as he headed towards the dressing room, with footage showing the 41-year-old visibly frustrated by the situation.
You can watch the footage below:
However, Postecoglou insisted the decision was tactical rather than disciplinary.
🗣️ “When I made the substitutions, including taking Ronaldo off, I believed the players coming on could make an impact.”
And incredibly, the gamble worked.
Al-Nassr produced a stunning second-half comeback to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 victory, with Sadio Mané scoring twice as João Félix provided the assists. 🔥
Ronaldo therefore watched the comeback from the sidelines rather than being part of it on the pitch.
It was certainly a strange night for the Al-Nassr captain — furious at half-time, substituted by his manager, and then forced to watch his teammates complete an incredible comeback without him. 👀
For now, there is no confirmation of a personal fallout between Ronaldo and Postecoglou, but the footage of Ronaldo’s frustration is already getting plenty of attention online.
One thing is certain: CR7 was NOT happy. 😳
