Three key Man Utd injuries back for Liverpool clash!

Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd have suffered set backs recently due to injuries throughout their squad. Three key players, however, are set to return in time for their FA Cup clash with Liverpool at the weekend.

Man Utd go into this week’s round of fixtures off the back of a 2-0 victory over Everton at Old Trafford, having previously been dispatched 3-1 in the Manchester Derby the week before.

Injuries have riddled Erik ten Hag’s side of late, with key defenders Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw absent for the all-Manchester clash, as well as frontman Rasmus Højlund.

Højlund was just starting to find his form with Man Utd before having to sit out of arguably their biggest games of the Premier League calendar.

Yet another huge clash awaits the Red Devils this weekend, with their FA Cup quarter final with Liverpool kicking off at 15:30 this Sunday.

Man Utd have been riddled with injuries recently, with Rasmus Hojlund sitting out for their clash with Man City last week.

The matchup will take place at Old Trafford, with some good news for Man Utd fans coming from Erik ten Hag in regard to their squad injuries ahead of the game.

According to the Utd manager, three key players are set to be fit for return when they meet Liverpool on Sunday.

These three returns cover Utd at either end of the pitch, with hitman Rasmus Højlund said to be returning from a muscle injury, and Harry Maguire & Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to return to the defensive line.

Ten Hag said of Højlund’s injury “It’s a small injury, two or three weeks. It’s a risk in high-intensity training.”

He also said “Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka… I expect them to be available for our game against Liverpool.

The side will, however, still be without Summer signing Mason Mount, as well as Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Anthony Martial.

Shaw was sorely missed during Utd’s matchup with City last week, with ten Hag saying of his injury “We know his history with too many injuries and we couldn’t go into the risk.”

Man Utd vs Liverpool’s FA Cup quarter final kicks off at 15:30PM at Old Trafford, and can be watched on ITV1.
