Liverpool GK Alisson Becker ruled out via injury for a MONTH

Liverpool and Brazil shot stopper Alisson Becker has been ruled out from injury for a whole month as the Premier League side’s list of unfit players continues to grow.

Tite, Brazil’s international manager has provided an update on Alisson Becker, who missed Liverpool’s 4-1 hammering of Brentford on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

Jurgen Klopp had already outlined that he would be ruled out for “the foreseeable future” ahead of Liverpool’s matchup with Luton, having already missed their match with Brentford.

It also means that Alisson will miss their Carabao Cup Final with Chelsea at the weekend due to the injury.

However, things may be about to get worse for Liverpool and Brazil fans alike, as Tite has suggested that their No1 may be out for at least a month.

In an interview with TNT Sports, Tite said that Alisson would not be fit for Brazil’s friendly matchups with England on the 23rd of March, nor for Spain on the 26th.

If Tate’s evaluation of Alisson’s injury rings true, it could be bad news for Liverpool fans in respect to their title race with Man City.

It could mean that he misses matches against Nottingham Forest, Man City, and Everton before the March international break.

It is also unclear as to whether he would be fit for their first match back afterwards, which would be against Brighton on the 31st of March.

Liverpool currently remain top of the Premier League table, albeit by a single point after Man City’s 1-0 victory over Brentford yesterday.

However, Alisson Becker’s injury update comes as the latest in a long list of ruled-out Liverpool players, which has been referred to as an ‘injury crisis’.

In total, the club could have 10 players missing for their clash with Luton this evening.

Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez all had to be replaced due to injury during Liverpool’s clash with Brentford at the weekend, putting Klopp in a very precarious position going into the final stretch of the 2023/2024 title race.

Football Post will continue to update on the Alisson Becker injury situation as more unfolds.
