Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane has been alleged to have punched his own team mate, Leroy Sane in the face following their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad yesterday.
Their matchup was the first of 2 legs in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals, and has left the German giants with a mountain to climb in their home leg on the 20th of the month. Sane and Mane had been spotted having disagreements on the pitch after City had taken their lead to 3-0 in the 76th minute.
Things have been alleged to have boiled over in the dressing room after Bayern had made their way back from a dismal evening of football. As reported by German newspaper Bild, Mane had been upset at the way Sane had spoken to him on the pitch, and left him with a bleeding lip following a punch to the face to make his feelings clear. Team mates had to separate the pair.

It has been reported that Bayern Munich are expected to fine Mane for his attack on his team mate. Leroy Sane, who was once a Citizen himself, has recently been reported to be unhappy at Bayern, and this incident will likely give him less of a reason to stick around.
City put on a dominant performance in this first leg of their quarter final, going into the half time break 1-0 thanks to a stunning finish from Rodri. This was complimented by goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland in the second half, leaving Bayern Munich something of an uphill challenge when they welcome the Blues to the Allianz later this month.
It will be interesting to see how the club will handle both their second leg, and Sadio Mane following last nights events. As of yet we’ve heard no reports of any concrete punishments towards the Senegalese national.
