Roy Keane: 43-year old DENIES head butt assault in court!

A 43-year old Essex man has denied allegations of an assault on former Manchester United star Roy Keane, despite witnesses claiming he threw a head butt at the Irishman!

Last September, we reported that an Arsenal fan head butted Roy Keane following Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.

A video made the rounds on social media, showing Keane’s fellow pundit and former Man City defender, Micah Richards, squaring up to the unknown attacker in Roy’s defence.

Sky Sports at the time released an immediate statement, saying that Richards was “acting to diffuse a situation”.

We can now reveal that the man in question was one Scott Law, a 43-year old man from Essex who is an Arsenal season ticket holder.

Law, of Waltham Abbey, attended Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday the 14th of March, pleading not guilty to common assault charges against him.

Micah Richards stepped in to protect Roy Keane after an Arsenal fan tried to head butt him.

He was charged with the offence on the 13th of February, via post, and is due to face a 2-day trial back at the Highbury Magistrates’ Court between the 29th-30th of May this year.

He has been released on unconditional bail until that time, but currently denies any wrongdoing in regard to the incident at the Emirates Stadium.
