Manchester City fans are FUMING over FA Cup semi-final date

Manchester City fans are fuming after finding out their FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea is set to be played as a late-kick off.

Man City return to Wembley once again but they also had to endure a late kick-off against Sheffield United last season when the Citizens won 3-0 thanks to a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick.

This season, City will play Chelsea in the semi-finals, who knocked out Leicester City in the quarter-finals, Man City on the other hand knocked out Newcastle United after winning 2-0.

The kick-off time will be at 5:15pm on Saturday, 20th April at Wembley Stadium which means many Manchester City fans will be stuck on the M25 trying to get back home to the North.

But the City fans’ main cause of concern is that they only play Real Madrid in a huge Champions League match a couple days prior to this on Wednesday, meaning that the players will be fatigued.

One fan said: “Absolutely embarrassing. We’ve got Real Madrid the Wednesday before but you always have to make sure your beloved United is the blockbuster Sunday match don’t you”

Another said: “United don’t play midweek and we play Wednesday but they put us on Saturday”

Manchester United will play Coventry City on the Sunday despite not having a midweek match to cater for.
