Fans fuming over Scottish Cup final kick-off time

The Scottish Football Association has officially announced that the highly anticipated Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Rangers will kick off at 15:00 BST on May 25th.

This scheduling decision sets the stage for the fifth Old Firm encounter of the season, coinciding directly with the FA Cup final showdown between Manchester City and Manchester United. Both matches will be broadcast live on BBC.

Interestingly, last season saw the Scottish Cup final rescheduled to a 17:30 start time to avoid overlapping with other fixtures.

Celtic, the reigning cup holders, secured their 41st triumph in the competition by defeating Inverness Caley Thistle in 2023. Meanwhile, Rangers clinched this season’s League Cup.

The upcoming clash marks the first Scottish Cup final meeting between the Glasgow rivals since 2002, promising an electrifying showdown for football enthusiasts.

In a parallel event across the border, the FA Cup final will witness an all-Manchester affair for the second consecutive year, with City emerging as 2-1 victors in the previous encounter.
