Andy Robertson rescues 6 year old from RAGING Forest fans!

Liverpool left-back Andy Robinson was seen pulling a 6-year-old over the barriers to safety after they were caught amidst raging Nottingham Forest fans in Saturday’s controversial match.

Nottingham Forest were left seething after a controversial drop-ball goal saw Liverpool take home a vital 3-points in their matchup at the City Ground on Saturday.

Despite Klopp’s men enjoying the lion’s share of possession and registering over twice as many passes as their opponents, Forest clung on to a vital point for essentially the entirety of the match.

That was until referee Paul Tierney awarded a drop ball following a head injury to Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate, whilst Forest were in possession of the ball.

Instead of handing the ball back to the home side who were previously in possession, as referee analyst Mark Clattenburg has since commented should have been the case, Liverpool were handed possession in the 97th minute of the match.

The title contenders kept that possession for another couple of minutes, before a combination of Alexis Mac Allister and Darwin Nunez sunk Forest with a winning goal in the final minute.

The home side’s players, coaches, and fans were incensed by the refereeing error that allowed Liverpool the possession of the ball to find the winner, with club owner Evangelos Marinakis potentially facing an FA probe after following the referee down the tunnel after the match.

Sadly, the maelstrom in the City Ground following Nunez’s last-gap winner put many fans in danger, including a 6-year old Liverpool fan. Step in Scotland captain and Liverpool left-back, Andy Robertson.

The 29-year-old was captured on camera rescuing the young boy from the crowds and lifting him over the barriers to safety amongst the players on pitch at the end of the match.

The terrified child’s day got much better from that moment on, with the team taking him to the away fans to join in the celebrations. He was even spotted being held up by Harvey Elliott, and taking photos with Klopp and Luis Diaz.

The 6-year-old Liverpool fan was also given a match worn shirt by the team. Safe to say that Andy Robertson was a true hero when the moment called for it.
