5 Premier League Clubs with Fewer YouTube Subscribers Than Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has the fastest-growing YouTube channel and, unsurprisingly, he has more subscribers than a host of Premier League clubs.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star launched his YouTube channel which he named “UR. Cristiano” on Wednesday through an announcement on his social media accounts.

Within 90 minutes of its launch, the channel hit 1 million subscribers, the fastest ever channel to do so on the video platform and in 24 hours, it garnered more than 20 subscribers.

As of the time of this writing, the Al Nassr star has a whopping 46m subscribers.

Below are five Premier League clubs, the channel has unbelievably outgrown.

1. Liverpool: The Merseyside-based side have one of the biggest fanbases in the world but are trailing Ronaldo by a long mile on YouTube.

At the moment, the Reds have just 10.3m subscribers on the platform.

2. Manchester United: Ronaldo also dwarfs his former club’s number of subscribers by a long distance as they only boast of 9.32m subscribers.

3. Chelsea: The West London club have just 5.28m subscribers at the time of writing this report which is not a stone’s throw away from Ronaldo’s

4. Arsenal: The Gunner can boast of 4.15m followers on the channel at the moment which is way less than that of the Portuguese international.

5. Manchester City: Despite their riches, the defending Premier League champions can’t buy enough YouTube subscribers.

They have 7.62m subscribers on the video platform, an infinitesimal followership to that of Ronaldo.

Interestingly, the 5-time Balon d’Or winner has more subscribers than all the above-mentioned teams combined.

These findings shouldn’t come as a surprise as Ronaldo is arguably the most followed athlete on social media, as he has the largest followership on Instagram and is third highest on X.

If he couldn’t beat arch-rival Lionel Messi on the pitch, surely, he has off the pitch based on his large followership.
