Pep Guardiola once said ‘we cannot replace him’ when asked about Sergio Aguero’s impact before he left Man City after 10 years at the club.
Well, we think Pep was lying as he soon replaced him with a Norwegian robot in Erling Haaland.
During Aguero’s time at the Etihad, he managed to score a total of 260 goals for the club making him the all-time top goalscorer in Manchester City history.
Unfortunately for Aguero, one of his records has just been equalled and is poised to be broken very soon.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland bagged his 41st UEFA Champions League goal tonight as City comfortably beat FC Copenhagen 3-1 at the Etihad.
The victory meant City progressed to the UCL quarter-finals but it also meant that Erling Haaland equalled the Champions League goal record with Sergio Aguero (41).
The only difference is that Erling Haaland did this having played only 37 matches compared to 79 from Sergio Aguero!
Erling Haaland is only 9 goals away from being in the top 10 for the most goals scored in the UCL. He has only played 37 games btw pic.twitter.com/V2vyptaUdI

The leading goalscorer is Cristiano Ronaldo on 140 followed by Lionel Messi on 129 goals.
How far can Haaland go in the all-time list of top scorers in Champions League history? Let us know on social media!
