2012 was a phenomenal year for Lionel Messi, the GOAT scored the most goals in a single calendar year with a staggering 91 goals.
It only took the 25-year-old Argentine at the time, 69 games to achieve this record.
He broke the previous world record of 85 goals in a calendar year set by Germany and Bayern Munich striker Gerd Muller.
