Real Madrid could turn to David De Gea after Courtois injury rules him out for season

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out for the upcoming season after sustaining a ligament injury in training.

The devastating news is a huge blow to Real Madrid who are now left with a goalkeeping crisis, but sources suggest that they could turn to David De Gea as emergency cover.

The former Man United goalkeeper was released by the club after 12 years, subsequently he was replaced for Andre Onana.

With David De Gea now becoming a free agent in desperate need of a club, Real Madrid could turn to him, they almost signed the Spanish goalkeeper back in 2015 but a fax error halted the transfer.

The 32 year old went on to lift the Premier League, FA Cup, 2x League Cups and a Europa League with the Manchester club.
