WATCH: Goal of the month on the FIRST DAY of October?!

On what was a glorious afternoon for Newcastle United, beating Fulham at their home ground of Craven Cottage on the first day of the month – Miguel Almiron may well have just scored October’s goal of the month before the first 24 hours of it were up!

Newcastle finished the day with a 4-1 victory over the London squad who had been reduced to 10 men just 8 minutes into the game when a nasty challenge from Nathaniel Chalobah earned him a straight red card (which was a yellow card until the referee had been urged to check the VAR for closer analysis and turned back on his decision)

Almiron bagged 2 goals on this particular afternoon, though one stood out above any other goal scored on the day…

It started with a one-two between Almiron and Bruno Guimaraes –  Guimaraes then sending a lovely, looping chip over Fulham defenders into the box, where Almiron would meet it and deliver a world-class left foot volley to bend the ball around Bernd Leno and into the top corner of the Fulham net!

Despite scoring it on just the 1st of the month, many are under the impression that Almiron just gave us the Goal of the month already!
