WATCH: Wes Foderingham & Shayne Lavery sent off AFTER FINAL WHISTLE!

Sheffield United & Blackpool’s clash on the 15th of October in the EFL Championship has had chins wagging – and not just because of the thrilling 3-3 scoreline!

The game managed to produce 6 goals, 18 corner kicks, 30 shots, 9 cards… and one mass brawl.

Tensions rose particularly high after the final whistle was blown, at which point Blackpool were already reduced to 9 men – having seen Marvin Ekpiteta & Dominic Thompson each sent for an early bath just 3 minutes apart. Each man received their second yellow card from referee David Webb in the 78th (Ekpiteta) and 81st (Thompson) minutes, resulting in their respective marching orders.

This game (now finished) would give us yet another two red cards and incite a brawl among the players, as Blackpool forward Shayne Lavery charges Sheffield’s goalkeeper, Wes Foderingham.

After Webb (and non-instigating players) had managed to bring tempers back down a touch, both Lavery and Foderingham would be shown straight red cards for violent conduct.

Although it’s not something that any of us endorse as part of the beautiful game, you can’t help but laugh sometimes when professional players push, shove and roll around like they’re on a schoolyard again!
