Newcastle United have been knocking on the door of Leicester City all game, having over 17 attempts on goal they managed to get their well-deserved opening goal and it came from the most unlikely of sources.
Newcastle centre-back Dan Burn took the ball in his stride and glided his way into the box before carefully placing the ball into the far corner of Danny Ward’s goal.
Newcastle have been dominant from the first whistle and have missed numerous chances thanks to Danny Ward and his heroics but also wasted chances for the Magpies.
They now find themselves in the driving seat for a place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals which is played over 2 legs, whoever is to visit St. James’ Park will need to bring their earbuds to drown out the noise from the crowd tonight, an excellent display as always from the Newcastle United faithful.
You can see the goal from Dan Burn below, a finish the great Alan Shearer would be proud of.
