USA 1-1 Wales: Gareth Bale rescues CRUCIAL point for Wales

Gareth Bale has proven once again why he is such an important player for Wales as he RESCUED them a well-earned point against a tough USA side.

Earlier in the day, England emerged triumphant winners against a powerless Iran side who didn’t create many chances. The score finished 6-2 to England which meant both USA and Wales needed a good start.

USA started off as the better team and broke the deadlock at 36 minutes thanks to a beautifully timed pass from Chelsea star Pulisic who slotted in Timothy Weah who struck past the Welsh goalkeeper, Wayne Hennesey.

The Welsh looked like they were to taste opening day defeat at the hands of the USA until an attack from Wales in the box made its way to Gareth Bale who Walker Zimmerman took down.

Gareth Bale stepped up and Gareth Bale delivered in typical Bale fashion, a flawless penalty which drilled its way into the top corner past the hands of Matt Turner who almost kept it out but the penalty had too much power on it.
