BREAKING: Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has been STABBED in Milan supermarket

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari, on loan at Monza, has reportedly been STABBED along with FIVE others after a crazed 46-year-old Italian man took a knife from the shelves and randomly started attacking people.

Four of the six who were stabbed are believed to be in serious condition. The horrifying incident occurred in a Carrefour shopping centre this Thursday at around 5.30 PM local time in Assago, Milan.

Eye witness reports were numerous and unanimous in that the 46-year-old attacker, seemingly unprovoked, grabbed knives off of the store shelves and attacked shoppers at random.

An eyewitness is reported to have told Italian news station La Repubblica “We were at the bar and we thought it was a robbery because we saw some boys and a lady running, then we saw more and more people with upset faces and we realised that something serious had happened.”

The attacker was brought down by brave members of the public and later arrested by police and remains in custody.

Mari himself is said to be conscious and his condition “not serious”, as our thoughts and prayers lay with the other victims for their recovery.

We will update our readers with more information on this awful situation as and when it is available.
