Arsenal defender Ben White admits he has ‘no interest’ in football and would have chose a different career

Arsenal defender Ben White has recently turned down a chance to be in the England squad but it turns out he has no interest in football as a sport, and he would not watch it if he didn’t have to.

White, who has made 27 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season, has been one of the standout performers in the Gunners’ quest for the Premier League title.

However, he has never been shy about the fact that football is merely a profession for him and not a passion.

In an interview with Arsenal’s matchday programme, White stated that he would have followed in his father’s footsteps and become a gardener if he wasn’t a professional footballer.

He said that his father used to be a gardener and that he would have been very happy to work with him if football didn’t work out.

White’s lack of interest in football as a spectator is not a new revelation.

He has always preferred to play the game rather than watch it, and he said that even as a child, he would get bored of watching a game after five minutes and would go outside to play football instead.

White has emerged as one of the country’s best defenders in recent years, and he has earned four caps for the England national team.

His £50 million move to Arsenal in 2021 was initially met with scepticism due to his lack of top-flight experience, but he has proved his worth as an invaluable member of Mikel Arteta’s side.

White’s dedication to his profession is undeniable, and he said that he is obsessed with being the best he can be and being successful in whatever he does.

Whether he is playing football or working as a gardener, he said that he always wants to do the most he can to be a success.
