British musician Tom Grennan has made the dreams of an Argentinian Coventry City fan come true by offering to cover the cost of them flying over to watch their side in the Wembley playoff final!
Longtime fan of the West Midlands club, Lauti Murguia, was willing to sell his car to raise the funds to make his way to the Wembley final.
Grennan became aware of the lengths that Lauti was prepared to go to when the Argentine uploaded a video explaining his plans to watch his side potentially get back into the Premier League after a 22-year absence.
The video went viral, which is when Ashley Monk, a builder from Redditch, began a campaign to raise funds for Lauti’s ticket and flights. Monk’s actions helped the situation reach the ears of Tom Grennan, who in turn made sure Lauti’s dream came true.
I WILL PAY FOR THIS LAD!!!!
I can’t go to the final as I’m performing at BBCR1 weekend in Dundee. Devastated to miss the game, but instead I’ll pay for this lad to come over for the game. Does he have a ticket? Someone let me know #PUSB #VAMOS https://t.co/RaaolE4rD7

Monk is even having Lauti stay at his house for the duration of his trip, doing all he can for a fellow Sky Blue! Lauti couldn’t believe the effort that Monk, Grennan and Co had put in to his cause, and that it was now a reality.
Chatting with BBC Sport Coventry & Warwickshire, Lauti said “What happened is just unbelievable. I have no words to describe what I am feeling now.”
“When I started to support Coventry we were playing at Wembley too, but we were playing against Exeter in League Two so I never expected this.”
“We are one game away from our dream, from playing again in the Premier League so vamos Sky Blues.”
