Thomas Tuchel would be interested in the Tottenham Hotspur job if the opportunity arises and Antonio Conte leaves the club despite his connection with Chelsea.
Conte’s Spurs’ side currently sit 5th in the Premier League after a disappointing run of results leaves them 5 points adrift of the Champions League places.
Spurs travel to Premier League champions Man City tonight needing a huge result to keep them in contention for a Champions League place.
Manchester City, on the other hand, require a much-needed three points after suffering defeats in their last two games.
It leaves the Tottenham manager Conte with a whole load of pressure, knowing he could be a defeat away from the sack.
Would Tuchel really accept the Tottenham job?
If Conte was to leave the club, then former Chelsea manager Tuchel, 49, would be interested in the job but it begs the question, how would Chelsea fans feel about this?
The former Dortmund and PSG head coach has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in September but is now ready to listen to offers from clubs.
Could a Chelsea return be on the cards too?
We all know how Chelsea feel about Tuchel, his name is still being chanted by the supporters at the Etihad the other week in a 4-0 defeat.
He won the sacred Champions League, also the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup but as we all know just like Tottenham, the Chelsea board can be quite ruthless with sackings.
Tuchel found out the hard way that it’s a results-based business and unfortunately the board lost their patience which ultimately landed him the sack.
But, we have seen managers return to the club in the past, Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink are two examples.
Chelsea currently find themselves in 10th position after suffering 7 defeats in 19 matches, it’s been a very frustrating time for Graham Potter but the board have been very patient with him.
