John Textor eyes potential partnership with American billionaire rapper in Everton takeover

According to the Sun, American billionaire rapper Jay-Z is being targeted as one of the potential investors in Everton should John Textor succeed in his bid to take over the Merseyside-based club.

Textor is seeking to buy Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake but needs to sell his 45% stake at Crystal Palace to get that done.

The American businessman is confident of becoming the Toffees’ majority shareholder and is looking at potential partners with Jay-Z being one.

The Rapper is no stranger to Sporting Business as he was a part-owner of American professional basketball team Brooklyn Nets for 10 years, relinquishing his role to Will Pan in 2013.

He has established a Sports agency, popularly known as Roc Nation Sports, and they have a host of footballers in their clientele.

This isn’t the first time Jay-Z will be linked with an investment in an English club, as he was said to be interested in buying a stake at Arsenal in 2005.

Textor needs investors like the New York City-born artiste to help in taking over the ownership of Everton and turning the club into a force to reckon with English Football once again.

Textor hopes to persuade Jay-Z and other potential partners with the new BramBramley-Moore Dock stadium which can be used for other projects besides football. Football.

The Stadium is set to be opened in 2025 and will be one of the venues for the 2028 European championship which will be co-hosted by England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
