Germany’s Euro 2024 Round of 16 vs Denmark has been suspended due to intense lightning and rain storms above Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.

Euro 2024 hosts Germany kicked off their Round of 16 knockout tie vs Denmark at 8PM this evening at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.

The match was 0-0 at the 35th minute, despite the hosts putting the ball in the back of the Dane’s net after just 3 minutes, with a finish from Schlotterbeck disallowed due to an earlier foul from his teammate Kimmich.

It was at this time that, due to intense thunder storms that had been battering the area in Dortmund, the match was called off.

As suddenly as the brutal forces of nature had come to Dortmund, they seemed to ease, and the match was brought back into play a little after 9PM GMT after it was declared safe for the players and officials to continue.
