Chelsea fans ’embarrassed’ as reality TV star watches match ‘laid in bed’

Chelsea fans are ’embarrassed’ as reality TV star Georgia Toffolo shared a video of herself watching the football at Stamford Bridge in her pyjamas laid in bed.

Yes, you read that correctly, inside Stamford Bridge, laid in bed.

The former I’m a Celebrity winner and Made in Chelsea star was seen on Instagram advertising for Hilton, the luxury hotel chain.

Supporters have the opportunity to enjoy the “Hilton Best Bed experience” for a 15-minute duration during the game.

Additional benefits for the duo encompass prime seating in the East Stand, a one-night accommodation at 100 Queens Gate (a property within Hilton’s Curio Collection) on March 16, a post-match encounter with a first-team player, and access to a complimentary bar.

The influence of reality star Georgia Toffolo, boasting an impressive 1.7m followers on Instagram, will have only helped gain the popularity of this particular scheme from the hotel chain.

But nevertheless, many Chelsea fans were ’embarrassed’ as it ‘sums up modern day football’.

One fan commented, ‘I’ve seen more action in a care home’

Another jokingly replied: ‘You may as well turn the TV on at home, tuck yourself into bed and save money ‘

Her post was captioned: “Footy from bed 🙃 I chant louder in my jammies 🤣.”

Hilton Hotel’s newest scheme may not be up the alley of traditional football fans, who would prefer to be in and amongst the action with their peers despite the temptation of a warm bed, however it could well be something that brings in more ‘less traditional’ fans such as Georgia!

This is not the first ’embarrassment’ suffered by fans at Stamford Bridge in recent years, with an oil painting of a loud-mouthed Chelsea Fan being knocked out selling for over £7000 last year!
