England’s path to the 2022 World Cup Final in Qatar

England will face AFCON champions Senegal on Sunday after topping their group which meant they faced the runners-up of Group A.

Gareth Southgate’s men got off to the greatest start on matchday 1 by beating Iran 6-2, followed by a stalemate 0-0 draw against USA.

England won their final group game by beating Wales 3-0 thanks to a double from Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and a goal from City forward Phil Foden.

England will play Senegal at 7pm on Sunday, 2nd placed USA will play the Netherlands a day earlier.

Who could England face if they progress?

If England progress to the Quarter finals by beating Senegal, their next game will be on Saturday, December 10 against either the winners of Group D or the runners-up of Group C.

Quarter-finals – Saturday, December 10

England vs France or Argentina (KICK OFF 7PM)

That is based on current group standings.

Semi-Finals – Wednesday, December 14

England vs Croatia / Japan / Portugal / Switzerland (KICK OFF 7PM)

England vs Brazil Final?

Never say never, with both teams bringing through generational talents such as Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. It could be a final to remember.
