Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez signs new contract worth £100,000 per week

Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

The deal is reportedly worth up to £100,000 a week, which is double his previous wages and is a sign of the club’s belief in his potential.

Alvarez, who is just 23 years old, has already achieved a lot in his short career. He was a key member of the Argentina team that won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring four goals in the tournament.

Although Alvarez has not yet established himself as a regular starter for Manchester City, he has shown plenty of promise when given the chance. He has scored five goals in 20 appearances this season, often coming off the bench as an understudy for Erling Haaland.

Alvarez’s new contract is a clear indication of the faith that Manchester City have in his ability to develop into a top-class striker. With his pace, skill, and eye for goal, he has all the attributes needed to become a key player for the club in the years to come.
