POLL: Will Nottingham Forest break their dismal 5-game losing streak tonight against Aston Villa?

Coming off the back of signing manager Steve Cooper for a further 2-year contract, Nottingham Forest will be looking to bring an end to their 5-game losing streak in the Premier League when they face fellow midlands squad Aston Villa at home at The City Ground.

Villa themselves haven’t had the smoothest of starts to their 2022/2023 Premier League campaign, having lost half of their first 8 games. They have, however, managed to secure 2 victories alongside 2 draws with the other half of their games to boast 8 points from 8 games – something which Nottingham Forest can’t say for themselves…

Cooper’s side did manage a victory from one of their 8 matches when they beat West Ham 1-0 at home back in August. However, since that second game of their season, Forest have only been able to secure a single point from their 6 outings before tonight’s matchup with Villa – leaving them at the bottom of the Premier League standings with just 4 points to their campaign.

Their last outing to Leicester City (who sit just one point and one position ahead in 19th place) ended miserably when they were dispatched a whopping 4-0 at the King Power Stadium, leaving fans to wonder whether or not tonight’s home fixture with Aston Villa will be a successful endeavor in breaking the run of defeats that the Nottinghamshire side has been subjected to over their last 5 outings in the Premier League.

With only 4 points and 4 positions between the 2 teams, it should be anyone’s game – but WHO DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO COME OUT ON TOP?
