Liga Portugal’s Benfica fill the final space in the quarter finals.

So, without further ado, here are your 2023 UEFA Champions League finals lineups!

The first quarter final drawn pits current title holders Real Madrid against Graham Potter’s Chelsea FC. For 3 years on the bounce, Chelsea have made it into the quarter finals of the competition, and face the mammoth task of dispatching Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid over their 2-leg quarter final!

Inter Milan vs Benfica

The second clash drawn sees 3 time winners of the Champions League Inter Milan take on Liga Portugal’s only representatives, Benfica. The Portuguese club have reached the final of the Champions League 7 times in their history, but have never lifted the trophy. Despite Inter being drawn first for this quarter final, they will actually play their first leg away to Benfica. This is due to AC Milan having also been drawn as the home side in their matchup. With both clubs playing at the San Siro, AC Milan have been given precedence to play their home leg first.

Quarter final 3 sees 2021 finalists Man City take on German giants and 6 time winners, Bayern Munich. Guardiola’s men have been unbeaten in this year’s Champions League and may be going into this clash as slight favourites, despite Bayern’s impressive record in the competition.

The last quarter final draw has produced a Fesitval Italia in the form of AC Milan vs Napoli. As mentioned above, this mean that Inter will play their first leg against Benfica away to make way for the all-Italian battle. Napoli are currently dominating the Serie A table with a clear 16 points ahead of second-place Inter Milan, and will no doubt go into this matchup as the favourites to progress.

Semi finals

The semi finals of this year’s UCL will see the first legs played on the 9th of May, with second legs being played out on the 16th May.

Semi final ONE

The first semi final draw sees the winner of AC Milan vs Napoli play their first leg at home. They will play the winner of Inter Milan vs Benfica, giving this semi final a high likelihood of being an all-Italian affair!

Semi final TWO

The second semi final will see the winner of Real Madrid vs Chelsea FC take the home spot for their first leg. They will of course be met by the winner of Manchester City vs Bayern Munich, promising a thrilling semi-final matchup regardless of who goes through!
