Paul Pogba offered football return despite 4-year ban!

Paul Pogba has been offered a possible return to the football pitch despite being handed his recent 4-year ban for doping!

The 30-year-old Juventus star was slapped with a provisional 4-year ban after testing positive for banned substance DHEA in August.

Pogba has denied any allegations of wrongdoing, and is reportedly set to appeal his case – however as things stand, he will not make a return to professional football until 2027, at the age of 35.

He said of the allegations “I believe that the verdict is incorrect.

“I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.”

“When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but I have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.”

“As a professional athlete I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances,”

“And have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of any of the teams I have played for, or against.”

The former Man United star, however, may have been handed an unexpected lifeline back onto the pitch, and from the most unexpected of places!

Broke Boys, who are a part of a Russian celebrity league, are reportedly interested in signing Pogba since his ban was handed to him.

The side play in Russia’s Media Football League, which hosts teams comprised of celebrities and influencers.

Artjom Chatjaturjan, who is the chief of Broke Boys, is serious about offering Pogba a chance to play alongside his side despite the Frenchman’s recent ban.

He said to Tuttosport “It may seem like a joke, we called him. But so far he has politely refused.”

“He is in a desperate moment and needs time to accept it, Pogba is one of the best footballers in world won’t be able to play for that long.”

Broke Boys were reportedly willing to pay Pogba a monthly wage of £1,167, alongside a luxury apartment during his time in Russia – should he choose to accept.

There has, however, been speculation that, should his appeal be unsuccessful, Paul Pogba will hang up his boots and retire from the game altogether.

We’re not sure about you, but we at Football Post think it would be quite entertaining to watch the Juventus star run rings around Russian celebrities each week!
